I got a new toy too! Yesterday I went up to Michigan to Bike Sport Michigan for a fitting with Tom Demerly. I got a Felt B2Pro. It will be ready for me in a couple weeks. I can't wait! The fitting was amazing.

Nice Mary! I've heard good things about Bike Sports. The Felt looks like a great bike - and this will be a huge step up for you in speed coming from your road bike.

Cheers,

EH

Nice Right Foot.

- Al Tisko

Al Tisko??? That's a name I haven't heard in a long time!

Eric said...

Same Al though. That's my left foot.

Sweet - Now you're going to put granny gears and a soft seat on this right?

Eric said...

Maybe some upright handlebars with streamers Mike.

Add a Wicker Basket and Baker's bike will be complete.

Seriously, nice frame. Let us know how you build it out and why.

I'll post some pics when it's built Mike.

Is that Al Tisko or Steve Badger? Same smarts.

30mm BB?

That will be the fastest 16mph bike out there.

30mm BB???

Why don't we go head to head and see how fast it is?

standardized by cannondale.

Yes, it is a 30mm bb.

I would say that it would only be the fastest 16 mph bike out there if you were riding it, but that's a bit speedy for you - Another Cat 3 Fred who thinks he's a tour rider!

Congrats.
30mm BB is really nice... gets the Q factor back to normal compared to the outboard bearings we have today. Also provides a stiffer spindle for when you tri guys crank it up to 16.5mph.

-Joe Cat 1 (soon to be tour rider).

Hey.. Astana might not get into the tour... I might as well try!

Eric said...

Cat 1??? What are they giving those away? I guess if you ride long enough, they feel sorry for you and upgrade you.

Funny, I have ridden with Cat V's to pro's. Seems the real fast guys never have an attitude. The wannabees always are the ones who rag on the lesser categories and triathletes. And they wonder why cycling geeks get a bad name. Just a fact.

Sounds like EH needs a rest week.

I write my responses all in fun, but I'd be lying to say I'm not irritated by some of the cycling pricks who constantly rag on triathletes and other cyclists. twenty years of experience with them will do this to you!

You Tisko, you can be one of those cycling pricks, but I still like you anyway for some strange reason.

EH. I make fun of you. not you as a triathlete... but as you... If you were a volleyball player.. i'd make fun of you. If you were a corporate computer geek... i'd make fun of you (oh wait.. maybe not)

I agree. There is way too much posturing with roadies. Seems most of them have their resume at the tip of their tongue.

I could write pages and pages how people don't wait, ask if they have enough food or water, if they feel ok.

I tell people to treat their ride friends / teammates like you would if you were going for a ride with your girlfriend or wife. If you leave your gf/wife with a flat or let them bonk or flick em in the gutter... youre not going to get "some" later...

"Enough about you.. lets talk about me"

It takes a special skill to be a good listener.

I remember the first Bethel Spring Series last year. I was doing final prep at my car ... I heard this guy who just finished his race say "I got boxed in"... I thought to myself.. I don't know if I can handle another year of this.

Ownership and Accountability.

That goes for Life, Work, Family and Sport.

-Badger "the friendly roadie"

Who are you kidding Badger - your one of those. - you know, the guy who thinks he's way better than he is and when you ride by him passing the other way and wave, he either ignores you or looks at you like "how dare you!", or when you pass him on a ride, his ego can't handle it and he jumps on your wheel and rides the train not saying a word until he's about to come unhitched and explains the "he just did hard intervals yesterday, so today is his easy day":)

Just razzing you as well Badger! I wouldn't think you would be one of these - at least I hope not. But I have certainly run into my fair share of them.

is Steve Badger trying to be me... I guess if you glue 2 of him together he might almost be the same size!...but his brain and athletic ability would still be less than half!

Eric said...

Agreed! He always wanted to be just like you Al.
